for this prompt, i've chosen to capture "golden hour". in photography, this is defined generally as the first and last hour of sunlight. it's categorized by soft and diffused light with a warm or "golden" hue. photographers love this light because they don't have to worry about harsh shadows and/or bright highlights.
my girls go to bed pretty early at 7 p.m. so we are usually in for the night at golden hour. but... long late naps for us all last sunday resulted in wide awake babies at bed time. so...we went out and captured the light...

Oh, my gosh! Gorgeous! I've only had a few times when I was out there at exactly the right time and it really feels like you're just wrapped up in magic. I love the way the blue sky+cloud is showing through the gold.
