52 fridays 09 | 52 textures

this week's theme is texture.  i was in love with all of the textures in this little spot.  textures everywhere  - the concrete, the gate and the random elements behind the gate.  i also loved all of the textures and layers in the boys clothing.  i predict we are looking at three future heartbreakers here :)  what you don't see here is that they were totally goofing off and then maureen wilson | mccomb, mississippi natural light photographer asked them to get serious.  and this is what they gave us.  love!

when editing this image i used a light texture overlay at a low opacity which really warmed the image up.

I love love love your processing here. I need to sit down and try to learn a little bit about adding textures to images... if you hadn't told us, I wouldn't have guessed that you'd *added* texture to this in pp... so it just looks natural to me. so awesome.

What a great picture - I agree with Emily if you hadn't told us about the texture you added I probably wouldn't have noticed....which is a good thing! I think your edit is fantastic! Thanks again for all of your help this week!
