52 fridays 19 | 52 sooc

this week's theme is sooc - straight out of camera. i actually took a few pics this week, but i'm somehow broken my card reader and i've found myself, looking through the archives. i found this picture of my oldest daugter mackenzie. i took this picture last summer about 3 weeks into my manual journey. i love it. i think it's well exposed. my only regret is that i had her back to the roadway...lesson learned. on the left is the sooc shot. i definitely don't like to overedit pics of my girls. i want to document and remember them as the beautiful girls they are, but if i ever decide to print this for the walls, i'd want it to pop a bit more. digital camera images have a bit of a dull haze that is easily punched up a notch in minimal edits when you have a well exposed image. this edit took me about 5 min.

i'm very much looking forward to seeing what the others ladies have for their sooc shots. join me in finding out by first linking to kristen | kms photography.

Beautiful shot. You started with a well-executed, well-exposed image, and that makes such a difference in the final product.
