52 fridays 27 | 52 independence

this week's theme is independence.  not necessarily for this theme but on the 4th of july i captured my niece eden.  her mom asked me why i hadn't taken any "beautiful" pics of her kids.  i had to explain to her that we just hadn't purposefully done that to that point but that i certainly could.  and so i did.  gosh i love this shot of eden.  we took some of her smiling too but this one is my fave.

it's fitting for the theme because miss eden has always marched to the beat of her own drum.  she's very independent and it's one of the characteristics that i admire about her most.

miss independent...

i also got a shot of the all the girl cousins present.  it's not a great shot but i really think years from now the kids will look upon this shot fondly.  i love how it shows their varying sizes at this point in life...

happy friday!

these are wonderful. yes, the one of all the girls will be treasured by them all, and I can tell that with eden's shot you've really captured her personality. p.s. I love her glasses!

She's gorgeous! I'm partial to non-smiling shots myself. There is something about them that makes you keep looking. The framing with the leaves is perfect too!

I know it's hard getting everyone together for a shot and even though it's not "perfect" in your eyes you will treasure it later. Plus the images of eden is just stunning.
